26 King Street Approved
Design proposals for 26 King Street, Covent Garden, prepared by GarnettArchitecture for Shaftesbury Capital PLC , have received Town Planning Consent from Westminster City Council. Situated within the Covent Garden Conservation Area, the Grade II listed building is being internally remodeled and restored along with construction of a new fourth floor with south facing rooftop terrace. ERGON HOUSE, the Greek boutique hotel brand, which features artisanal Mediterranean products and cuisine, will open in the circa 20,000sqft location in 2025. The hotel will offer 20 contemporary rooms, with access to a private gym, and spaces designed by local artists, paying homage to its Greek roots. A 2,220 sq ft rooftop restaurant is planned with an al fresco terrace and striking views of the London skyline. The scheme includes enhanced sustainability and feature lighting to accentuate the building’s historic façade. The project team includes Real PM, Hurst Peirce + Malcolm, Atelier Ten, Stace, Scotch Partners and Gerald Eve. Curo Construction Ltd have been appointed as main contractor for the shell & core phase.
