Russell Square Town Planning Success

Proposals by GarnettArchitecture for a comprehensive refurbishment and extensions at 50-51 Russell Square Bloomsbury, prepared for The Bedford Estates have been granted Town Planning Consent by London Borough of Camden. The circa 2,300qm project situated within the Bloomsbury Conservation area on the South side of Russell Square will include recladding existing façades; a roof extension; demolition of a two-storey outrigger and replacement with a three-storey new build infill block on Bedford Place. The Cat A office scheme has already been given the go ahead to progress to tender stage and works are expected to commence on site in Q4 2025. GA are appointed as Architect and Lead Consultant, BR PD and CDM PD;  Design Team also includes project manager Meridien Consult, Abakus, MNP, TPS.
