Project Description

A mixed use new build development comprising 2no. Class E retail units and 9 apartments, located within Carshalton Conservation Area. The scheme has been sensitively design to fit into the high street setting with a mix of 1, 2 & 3 Bed units residential units located the rear of the site as part of the same building. Energy efficient services will be used with new sustainability and renewable energy measures. The proposal seeks to improve definition of the northern limit of the High Street by forming a 3 storey elevation sub-divided into historic plot divisions. Commercial draw is to be created at ground level through the contemporary articulation of traditional store fronts in light-coloured stone. Stock brick and decorative features have been used in a language sympathetic with the protected historic fabric of Carshalton High Street. The Proposal received Town Planning approval from London Borough of Sutton in November 2025.
