Legal and General appoints Garnett Architecture on Covent Garden Refurbishment
Legal and General Asset Management have been appointed Garnett Architecture as Architect and Lead Designer on the comprehensive refurbishment of their 1930’s mixed office and retail building in Covent Garden. The 11,000sqft scheme involves a renovation of the entrance hall, common areas, toilets and three office floors featuring exposed steel beams, cast iron columns and art-deco detailing. The Cat ‘A’ refurbishment also includes redesign of the entrance elevation and new comfort cooling with exposed M&E Services. The project is expected to complete in the 3rd quarter of 2017. G&P will be working in conjunction with project managers Potter Raper Partnership who will lead the project team, and with letting agents CBRE and Hanover Green.
